Jude Law Names New Daugther Sophia Posted: 31 Jul 2009 08:29 PM PDT Jude Law’s baby mama Samantha Burke, a 24-year-old aspiring actress from Pensacola, Fla., confirms that they will be having a daughter named Sophia. “Samantha, her mom, and her family can affirm that Jude has been responsive and supportive throughout the relationship and pregnancy, and know that he will remain so as a father once Baby Sophia is born,” Samantha tells People in a statement. “Jude and Samantha remain committed to the health and well-being of this child, and appreciate your honoring her privacy during this special time. Here’s what TLC said: “Over the last four years and through 100 episodes, we’ve captured this remarkable family’s entertaining chaos. Viewers fell in love and the show developed a passionate, loyal following. But this past spring - life intervened and the family’s status changed. It was certainly something we never expected nor planned to have happen. But this has resulted in unprecedented television. “Our approach to the circumstance was simple: to cover the family with great care and thoughtfulness as they dealt with a subject that is all to familiar to many American families today. "I was stunned by Summit [Entertainment]'s decision to recast the role of Victoria for Eclipse," Rachelle said in a statement to Access Hollywood. "I was fully committed to the Twilight saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to Barney's Version is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for Eclipse. Although the production schedule for Eclipse is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for Eclipse, never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Avril Lavigne Goes Acoustic For New Album Posted: 28 Jul 2009 12:52 PM PDT Avril Lavigne’s upcoming fourth album will be taking a completely different approach to her music. “A lot of the songs are mainly the acoustic and my vocal,” the 24-year-old Canadian singer told Billboard. “It’s a lot different from anything I’ve done before. It’s not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling.” Avril also tells EW, “This record, I just really, really wanted to sing. We started recording each song, some of them, just with acoustic guitar and the vocal and building it from there. It's stripped down. I love performing that way, so I really felt like it was time to make a record like that. To just make it all about the vocal and the performance, and the vibe, and the emotion.” Avril’s still-untitled album is set for a November 17th release.
