The Associated Press reported that lawyers for Rihanna said she would be subpoenaed to testify as a witness for the prosecution in a preliminary hearing on felony charges against Chris for the alleged assault on RiRi. The hearing is scheduled for June 22 in Los Angeles County Superior Court. |

| The Alexa Chung Show’s First Guests: Jack Black and Michael Cera Posted: 29 May 2009 05:12 PM PDT  British TV presenter Alexa Chung DJs the party celebrating the lighting of the Burberry sign across the Manhattan skyline at The New York Palace Hotel on Thursday (May 28). “[Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey] asked me to DJ and so I did because he’s great and he likes very much the same music as me,” the 25-year-old told me. “It’s easy; you just push a few buttons.” Next month, The Alexa Chung Show will premiere on MTV as the successor to the trail-blazing TRL. “June 15th we go live,” Alexa tells JustJared.com. “It’s live five days a week and it’s an hour long with celebrity guests, bands, and a Twitter format. I think the guests on the first episode will be Jack Black and Michael Cera.” (They’ll be promoting their new movie Year One, out June 19.) |

At the event, the 35-year-old actress told me she’s starring in the new adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar. “My character’s name is Doreen,” Rose told JustJared.com. “She’s kind of a 50’s magazine girl from New York, it’s really fun. We’re shooting in South Africa most likely. I’ve never been there, so I’m really excited.” Rose also told me all about her low-key Memorial Day weekend: “Believe it or not, I slept all day long on my couch in my [body-length blanket] Snuggie. Now, I bought the Snuggie as a joke, but that thing is serious business. It will take you down! I watched 20 episodes of Golden Girls! But I was very, very sad [when Bea Arthur died]. Posted: 29 May 2009 02:03 PM PDT  Nathan Trasoras was the brilliant dancer who auditioned to Daphne Loves Derby’s “Pollen and Salt” during Thursday’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance. Here were the glowing comments from the judges: “That was really damn extraordinary. You were pretty beeping impressive.” — Adam Shankman “You did everything we ask of a dancer — you had contrast, you covered that stage, you have technique. You have a great stage presence.” — Mary Murphy “One of the best centers like (brothers) Travis [Wall] and Danny [Tidwell]. You’re a brilliant dancer.” — Nigel Lythgoe Unfortunately, Nathan’s only 17-years-old and therefore ineligible to compete this season. But that’s okay! | Wanda Sykes’ Twins — FIRST PIC! Posted: 29 May 2009 01:03 PM PDT  The New Adventures of Old Christine star Wanda Sykes shared the first picture of her adorable 1-month-old twins, Olivia Lou and Lucas Claude, on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. The 45-year-old funnywoman’s wife, Alex, gave birth to the twins on April 27. Wanda joked during the show, “Babies are very inconsiderate! Everyone said twins should be here at 35 weeks but nothing! Lots of waiting and they finally induced at week 39. I was [in the delivery room] when they did the C-Section. When the doctors tell you “Don’t look this way,” don’t look that way. It was not pretty.” When asked if the twins calmed down after they got home, Wanda hilariously said, “No! All hell broke loose! It’s like they were tag teaming us, you put one down and then the other one starts crying. There is nothing twin-like about these babies, they are just two babies. I mean, I don’t even think they know each other.” |

| Summer Glau To Star In ‘Dollhouse’ Posted: 28 May 2009 07:21 PM PDT  Summer Glau attends a press conference with costar Brian Austin Green to promote the Blu-ray and DVD release of their show recently canceled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles in Tokyo, Japan on Wednesday (May 28). According to EW, sounds like the 27-year-old actress might reunite with Firefly director Joss Whedon for his current show Dollhouse. “If anybody thinks (bringing Summer onto Dollhouse) hasn’t occurred to me already then they have not met me,” Joss says. “I mentioned it to her before (SCC) was canceled. I was like, ‘You know, we should get you in the ‘house.’ But first we have to come up with something that works.” “Summer would be perfect to play an active, but she’s done that a lot,” he says. “I’d rather see her play someone who talks too much. The most fun I have is when I get somebody who’s good and comfortable at doing something, and then I make them do something else. Summer said to me, ‘I would like to play a normal girl before I die of extreme old age.’” |
| T.R. Knight Leaving Grey’s Anatomy Posted: 28 May 2009 06:21 PM PDT  Multiple sources confirm to E!’s Marc Malkin that T.R. Knight will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy next season. False reports are circulating that the show’s creator Shonda Rimes rebuffed this news, calling it “a hilarious, ridiculous rumor.” Well, Shonda did in fact tweet those words but she was responding to the ridiculous rumor that Dr. George O’Malley would have facial reconstructive surgery and his role would be re-cast. Here’s the original tweet: “Heard a rumor about George today. Said that TR would be replaced (by plastic surgery) and we’d still have George.” Dr. George O’Malley is, in fact, dead. Live with it! |

| David Hyde Pierce is a Married Man Posted: 28 May 2009 03:21 PM PDT  Former Frasier star David Hyde Pierce reveals that he wed longtime love Brian Hargrove on October 24th, 2008. The 50-year-old actor shared the happy news on The View after having been together for 25 years. David and Brian tied the knot a few weeks before California’s Proposition 8 was passed, which banned same-sex marriage. The state’s Supreme Court ruled this week that his marriage (along with 18,000 others) is still legal but upheld the ban for future couples. “[It's like] oh great, I made the cut!” David said sarcastically. He also went on to say that one’s sexuality is a personal matter. “What you choose to talk about is a personal decision,” David said. “I’m not a big fan [of outing celebrities].” |
