The film, directed by Rob Marshall, who also directed Chicago, stars Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson and Fergie. Kate said that she was inspired by her famous mom, Goldie Hawn, in the film. “My mother was a big believer in if you want to do this in your life, you have to go for it,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “For her to watch her daughter [singing and dancing], the essence is we’re performers and that’s in our blood, and she gave a lot of that to me.” Nine hits theaters in L.A. and NYC on December 18 and will be open nationwide on Christmas (December 25)!

The 21-year-old “Rated R” singer will speak about what she wanted to name her album, her style and finding flaws. On her album title: "I actually wanted to name my album, Such a F—ing Lady, but a couple of stores, a couple of major outlets didn't allow that… That was the title for a while, but Rated R made more sense because of the overall story. It's a movie really, the album. But Such a F—ing Lady - we take everything back to that - especially in our style." On her personal style: "I like playing with the tough but not too tough, and being a lady but not too girlie because that's not me. I kind of play on both. I like things a little twisted, a bit of a bad a– and a bit of lady. And you know, such a f—ing lady, no lady says ‘a f—ing lady’." On finding flaws: “There's something that is never good enough. You never look in the mirror and say 'yes, I'm perfect today'. It's always like, okay I don't have a pimple but my gut looks huge. Awesome. You always find a flaw. | Good Morning America Cuts Adam Lambert From Concert Series Posted: 24 Nov 2009 09:56 AM PST  Adam Lambert’s performance on tomorrow’s Good Morning America has been canceled. An ABC News spokesperson reveals, "Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning." In response to the situation, Adam told Ryan Seacrest, “Obviously I respect their decision, they gotta do what they gotta do. It’s too bad, I think there were a lot of fans who were excited to come see me.” He added, “They probably had a lot of pressure coming at them from certain people who weren’t happy about it. | Katie Holmes: Run In Her Stockings Posted: 24 Nov 2009 08:14 AM PST  Katie Holmes shows off a little run in her stockings while walking to the set of The Romantics with co-star Adam Brody on Monday (November 23) in Southold, New York. While shooting her new movie, the 30-year-old actress is door is currently renting a private home — while the rest of the cast is are staying at a local hotel. "Katie is staying in a house in East Marion," says an insider. "The rest of the cast is staying at the Greenporter Hotel and Spa." The house is hidden from the road, which is what Katie, 30, wants. "She reviewed about four different locations before settling on this one," Century 21 Realtor Jerry Cibulski tells Life & Style. "Katie had people that contacted us looking for something with a lot of privacy and quaint amenities. It's secluded but with great proximity to all the local spots." But just because Katie isn't living with the rest of the cast — which includes Anna Paquin, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and Josh Duhamel — doesn't mean she isn't bonding with her co-stars. She joined a group for dinner at the Frisky Oyster, a local seafood restaurant, on Nov. 11. And the next day, notes the insider, "Elijah and Jeremy [Strong] went to Katie's for dinner. Katie and a friend picked them up in a Chevy wagon." Where's husband Tom Cruise? He flew off to Austria to film Knight & Day, his new movie with Cameron Diaz.
