I know college hoops is over and some people just want to move on from the season. But this is the couple of weeks where there is just a serious lull in sports. Baseball has just started and I guess I could talk about the Sox being winless but then I realized there are another 158 fucking games left to go, so I think i'll have a little bit more time to talk about baseball. The NBA and NHL playoff races are heating up but unlike NCAAB there is no selection committee picking the teams... we can basically see for ourselves who is gonna be in the playoffs and who is not... no real drama. And the most popular sport in America is currently locked out, so this was the most interesting story to me.
North Carolina will return Tyler Zeller and that yardstick John Henson. If they can somehow retain Harrison Barnes this team will undoubtedly be the number 1 team in the nation and natty ship favorite. Those 3 heathens along with stud Kendall Marshall and their solid bench will have those students in Chapel Hill clamoring. This team reminds me of their 2009 championship team, except worse. But there is no shame in that considering their 09 team could beat this years Cavaliers team. Ty Lawson was faster than the fuckin road runner, Wayne Ellington was a better shooter than Marky Mark and they had the best big man in the cuntry in Tyler Mansbrough. If Barnes comes back, Carolina will be a serious force to be reckoned with. Weird to think that Barnes sucking ass in the beginning of the year could be a good thing for Carolina moving forward.
