You know, i dont think apple, motorola, or IBM cares. We will, regardless almost, buy macs next time. A mac is a mac, and a mac user, never goes to a pc. They may use one in preference to a mac, but, they still look at the mac market and hope for a time when they ca move back. I did. 4 years ago i couldnt afford a mac. Now i can, guess which company has an order for two of their professional machines????
Apple doesnt care because of this.
Motorola doesnt care because they make more money elsewhere
IBM doesnt care because they sell pcs and loads of other stuff for computers so they dont need to depend on anyone.
We are 5% of people with computers. If i had to make a hardware marketing decision, which group do you think i want to please?????

Actually, I have to take that back. I read just about anything related to Formula 1, but that's different as it happens IRL:rolleyes:
Yes, because as we all know, only things that happen in real life are interesting.

Again as I stated before... Apple is really starting to dabble in the 3D interface. The album art is a good example of this. Granted its a rip off of someone else's idea...No idea of the name of the app but I was playing around with it a few months back that did exactly this. *shrugs* Whatever. It makes me wonder if there is any serious GUI updates for 10.5 that we have yet to see.

Hah. Approaching $4/Gal? It's been four & a half bucks here since forever & we're eyeballing $5/Gal & this is still the US. People who obsess about a dollar a gallon need to get a more efficient car.
Tell that to the soccer moms who insist on driving V8 Suburbans or Powerstroke Diesels.
My buddy's mom drives a V10 Excursion to go grocery shopping.
It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

So I guess then if there are no new products, why does the screen on the MBP seem so much taller than the actual cpu. Look at the picture where it is turned sideways...
It may just be me, but I dont recall the MBP having an inch of screen hanging over the CPU.

Whine whine whine. That clearly makes Apple fix the problem.
Why not?
It's obviously worked for :apple: with their PC vs Mac commercials in terms of their minuscule OS market-share.

iTunes now provides access to an "Album Artist" tag which should help keep those duets and other collaborations in line without having to declare them as compilations.

Apple is a self absorbed organization that loves to publically bash other companies like Microsoft for not being responsive, open, hip, etc., then when it comes to incorporating a technology that people want/need, they drag the butts, remain non responsive and basically do nothing. I applaud Adobe for throwing this right back in Apple's face.

The only flaw with that is the rest of the market is shrinking.
So if the market is down as a whole, and one manufacture is up, that one manufacturer is definitely doing something right.
Well, not really. Macs are generally more expensive than PCs. The people who likely buy Macs aren't doing as poorly as others, so they buy Macs. Those with little discretionary income who would normally buy PCs don't have money to buy a computer right now, so they're not buying a PC.
And again, the market is shrinking because PC sales were at great highs before. It's almost impossible to think their numbers can go up by a wide margin.

Hey MacRumors, your subscription prices are different than Adobe's site.
Adobe Photoshop is $35 per YEAR or $49 month to month.
Adobe Design Premium CS5.5 is $95 per YEAR or $139 month to month.
Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection is $129 per YEAR or $195 month to month.

This is the correct one:

I don't think it is mate. The one I posted a few posts up includes batteries up to August 2006 whereas that link of yours is only to 2005. That one again is:

I'd suggest that those who's careers are based on maintaining our military can file for unemployment and search the want ads just like everybody else.
Now there is a logical solution
it's a good thing you are not part of the decision making process

Nice job by Apple on the 24". Very tempting system.
The 7600GT isn't a bad card at all for gaming. The only thing to rememeber is that it has to push 1900x1200 in those games unless you drop the resolution. I think the 7600GT has a 128 bit memory bus. All in all it should do fine for the games that are availible right now.

Well... but at least it's not Apple's fault, because they didn't produce the driver. Therefore it's actually not a concern of Apple's but of the driver's producer's.
On the other hand Apple did include it into it's OS seemingly without testing it thorougly, and that is, of course, a concern of Apple's. So they will have to work together to get rid of that - and I'm sure they will - and I may be smug again. :p
###Just my two cents.... it is exactly this kind of "attitude" that make tech and Windows people want to throw up. Of course, it's Apple's concern and it SHOULD be yours. If it comes with the Mac...it's Apple responsibility...period. As an Apple user, i'm embarrassed more and more by the Apple community. Gonna have to start painting over the Apple logo on my PB.

I don't think those iPhone shots are real, and I'm not all that hopeful that a phone will be released on Monday, but if an Apple phone is released I will be as excited as I have ever been for an Apple release. Just imagine the syncing perfection and coolness factor.

is this really a big deal?
Seriously, The Beatles were great, I would think by now most people have their songs. How many Lp's and Cd's they sold? How many Millions.
The only positive thing from this outcome is that Apple Corps will stop filling lawsuits against Apple Computer. Besides that, I see no point as this being a big deal.
Basically this is a very big deal. The Beatles catalog is similar to the Star Wars movies. The release of the material on a particular platform or format gives final legitimacy to the format.
Think of the Beatles catalog as the crown jewels of music (as the Star Wars movies are the crown jewels of movies, we'll be seeing but BlueRay and DVD-HD courting Lucas Films, whichever format they chose will be the standard, you may not agree, but that's just the was it goes).
Also there are quite a few people who have packed away their albums and CDs, but then they're reminded of a classic Beatles song and it's easy for them to spend the money to re-purchase the album than go into storage and then rip it. And if the sound quality is better!
How can the sound quality be better, well in the 80's and 90's a lot of stuff was either rushed out (not the case in the Beatles catalog) or the technology was not up to par (which is the case), so it's possible that an iTunes version may actually sound better than the initial CD release of the Beatle catalog from the late 80's.

Britain is very class based, and is probably racist too. Black people here are generally poor and don't do particularly well at school as well.
